Description |
“Il Cerretino” consists of five apartments which were originally old barns, all situated near a mansion house or villa padronale, whose origins were lost long ago (the first records of the area date back to the 9th and 10th centuries). The expert restructuring has managed to maintain the original, rural Tuscan style characterized by wooden beams, tiled terracotta floors and stone walls all of which create a fascinating charm for anyone spending time there. All the apartments have been designed with classic simplicity and good taste. Each has an independent entrance hall, a living room, a cooking corner, a master bedroom and bathroom. There is also ample space outdoors complete with chairs and tables for those who enjoy dining in the lush, green countryside.
A village that dates back to the end of the 8th century, Cerretino has been completely restructured with apartments with a panoramic view over Florence. Within 15 minutes by car you are 400metres above sea level surrounded by hills adorned in olive trees, horse chestnut and oak tree forests. The village is connected to the farm “Il Cerretino” which breeds cattle (a breed known as “The Big White”) and produces extra-virgin olive oil with its own unmistakable fragrance and flavour. |
